Neha Chawla, a fellow and member of the International Psychoanalytical Association (IPA) has been in private practice in Brooklyn Heights for the last 4 years providing integrative psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to individuals and couples. She has also been an Instructor at the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society and has worked at the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons with children and adolescents at-risk for moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
Having also worked as a therapist in a Hospice setting, Ms. Chawla’s professional interests span a wide range of life challenges including depression, marriage & relationship challenges, anxiety disorders, loss & bereavement, mood disorders, trauma, terminal/chronic illnesses, career/professional development, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum, parenting challenges, identity development, sexual identity, immigration/acculturation issues etc.
